The Under Secretary of State for Chile, Sergio del Campo, accompanied by the Chilean Ambassador in Spain, Sergio Romero, and several representatives from the Ministry of Energy of that country, have met this morning in Madrid with the Director General of the National Renewable Energy Centre, Jose Javier Armendariz and the Technical Director of CENER, Fernando Sanchez.
The Chilean Embassy in Spain has been the meeting place for this meeting, which has dealt with current projects and possible collaboration channels in projects related to renewable energies.
CENER has excellent relations with this Latin American country, where it presented the “Feasibility Study for a Specialised Technology Centre in non-Traditional Renewable Energies”, in the Chilean city of Concepcion. But, it has also signed collaboration agreements with the Renewable Energy Centre of Chile and more recently with the Chile Foundation to develop solar energy projects.
Apart from the people already mentioned, the following have also participated in this morning’s meeting: Luis Felipe Labbe and Martin Osorio from the Ministry of Energy of Chile, Alberto Ugalde, Head of Prospective and Energy Policy Division, Gerardo Marti, Head of Safety and Electricity Market Division, Miguel Meneses, Second Secretary of the Chilean Embassy in Spain and Tomas Pablo, Director of CORFO-Todo Chile in Spain.
