CENER TALKS ABOUT SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION IN COLOMBIA

CENER habla de edificación sostenible en Colombia

“Sustainable construction: a commitment to the future”, is the title of the BIOCASA 2011 congress, which is taking place this week in Cali (Colombia), organised by the Colombian Chamber of Construction (Camacol).

The congress will include a conference by Florencio Manteca, Director of CENER’s Department of Energy in Buildings, who will be giving his expert opinion on energy in construction and sustainable cities at the closing conference.

According to the congress webpage, this year’s edition of BIOCASA has the backing of the International Finance Corporation, which is a member of the World Bank Group, thanks to the national agreement signed by these two entities, along with the Ministry of the Environment, Housing and Regional Development, and Camacol to promote sustainable construction in Colombia and design legislation to govern the sector in terms of sustainability.
