THE JAPANESE TV BROADCASTS A LIVE PROGRAMME WITH CENER AS EXPERTS

La tv japonesa emite un programa en directo con CENER como experto

The Japanese public television, NHK, will broadcast a special programme on Saturday, 25th June, on alternative energy sources to nuclear power. In preparation, last week, a team of 4 people from NKH spent a whole day recording interviews at CENER headquarters in Sarriguren, as well as at the wind turbine test centre in Sangüesa, where they compiled information from several technical officers and also from the Director General, Jose Javier Armendariz.

The programme will attempt to analyse Japan’s current energy policy after the events occurred as a result of the serious damage caused by the tsunami to the Fukushima nuclear power station.

Apart from reports on renewable energies in Spain and how they have been developed, the programme has planned to hold a debate with the participation, by way of video conference connections, of experts from 3 countries in the world, including Fernando Sanchez (Technical Director of CENER), from Madrid.

The topic of development of the different technologies, as well as showing how some tests can be performed on materials and components of renewable energy facilities, were some of the questions posed by Japanese journalists in CENER to Pablo Ayesa (Wind Energy Dept. Director), Manual Blanco (Solar Thermal Dept. Director), Gurutz Urcelai (LEA) and Ana Rosa Lagunas (Solar Photovoltaic Dept. Director).

Apart from CENER, the Japanese journalists interviewed top people from the National Energy Commission (CNE), the Spanish Electrical Grid (REE), Gamesa, ENHOL Group and Acciona.

The programme will be broadcast on Saturday, the 25th June, from 3.30 to 5 pm (Spanish time) and can also be seen online, on the website of the programme.
