CENER TAKES PART IN THE LARGEST WINDPOWER FAIR IN THE WORLD

Dallas (EEUU), 20 de mayo de 2010 Promoting service and project development capacities in agreement with the latest technological advances of the sector will be one of the main objectives of the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) with the stand that it will install at the Windpower Fair that will be held in Dallas (United States) between 23 and 26 May. This fair, which received 23,000 visitors last year, with the participation of almost 1300 exhibitors, is considered as one of the most important of the windpower sector in the world. One of the greatest attractions of the CENER stand at the Fair will undoubtedly be the information related to the Wind Turbine Test Laboratory, located in Sangüesa (Navarra). This infrastructure has precisely been the reason for an agreement that will be renewed after the summer with NREL, the United States national renewable research laboratory. In this sense, CENER is also collaborating with the University of Clemson as a technical advisor to construct a new wind turbine powertrain test infrastructure, which is going to be built in South Carolina. Thus, apart from establishing commercial agreements, this visit, during Windpower, will be used for CENER to consolidate its international activity, as it is present on the five continents.
