THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR ENERGY HIGHLIGHTS THE WORK CARRIED OUT BY CENER IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPANISH TECHNOLOGY

El Secretario de Estado de Energía destaca el trabajo de CENER en el desarrollo de la tecnología española

“Special mention must be made to the work carried out by CENER as a driving force to develop Spanish technology on an international level”. These words formed part of the speech delivered this morning by the Secretary of State for Energy, Pedro Marin, during the meeting that he has held in Dallas (United States) with institutions and enterprises from the Spanish windenergy sector, participating in the Windpower Fair 2010.

During the morning, Pedro Marin visited the stand of CENER, which he is a trustee of, where he was welcomed by Jose Javier Armendariz, Director General of CENER, and by Fernando Sanchez Sudon, Technical Director. The Spanish institutional delegation headed by the Secretary of State for Energy, was also comprised of Jaime Montalvo, Director General of Promotion of ICEX, Miguel Angel Fernandez de Mazarmabroz, Spanish Consul General in Texas, and Jorge Sanz Oliva, the Spanish Trade Counsellor in the United States.

Promoting service and project development capacities in agreement with the latest technological advances of the sector is one of the main objectives of the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) with the stand that it has install at the Windpower Fair that is held in Dallas (United States) from 23 to 26 May.

This fair, which received 23,000 visitors last year, with the participation of almost 1300 exhibitors, is considered as one of the most important of the wind power sector in the world.
