Photovoltaic Inverter Laboratory (LIF)

The Photovoltaic Inverter Laboratory falls within the strategy of the Photovoltaic Solar Energy department to have equipment for the characterisation of the components of a photovoltaic installation. The LIF has the capacity to assess photovoltaic investors of up to 50 kW indoors. The appropriate equipment (grid simulator, photovoltaic field simulator, wattmeter and other different measuring devices) have been acquired to be able to study the main characteristics of these appliances.

The laboratory has developed a “CENER methodology” to assess the photovoltaic inverters that also includes tests in agreement with the operating temperature.
