Aiming to include energy saving criteria on an urban scale, CENER offers technical assistance in environmental planning. There are many possible fields of action and strategies:

• Urban planning. Urban layouts are planned to optimise solar radiation, placing special attention on the orientation and width of the roads and construction typologies, preparing shading studies.
• Large-scale integration of renewable energies into urban surroundings.
• Decentralised energy generation and distribution systems. District heating and cooling systems,
• Waste and water management systems.

Within this context, CENER has developed the project, Eco-district of Tudela (Navarra), developing bioclimatic condition specifications to draft the Partial Plan.
