Photovoltaic Solar Energy Department

The goal of the Photovoltaic Solar Energy department is to support the industrial sector and to contribute to reducing costs of the kWh produced by PV means. In this sense it is positioned midway between basic research and industrial manufacturing environments.

R&D+i activities are complemented with services of validation and certification of PV components including electricity production PV plants.

Department members have a wide range of education profiles what allows research activities from the study of PV cell materials, technologies and PV modules until the final PV installation.

The PV Department includes two knowledge environments: Photovoltaic Systems and Photovoltaic Cells.

The CENER Photovoltaic Solar Energy Department also collaborates in international cooperation projects sponsored by AECI and in initiatives of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
