Getting to know the peculiarities of the calls for European aid for research projects was one of the main objectives of the conference that was held this morning at the CENER headquarters in Sarriguren (Navarra) and in which several officials from CDTI have taken part, as well as Rafael Muguerza, Director of the Innovation and Information Society Service of the Government of Navarra and the Director General of CENER, José Javier Armendáriz.
The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) is a public business entity, dependent upon the Ministry of Science and Innovation, which promotes innovation and technological development in Spanish companies. Since 2009 it is the body of the Ministry that channels requests for financing and support to R&D&I projects of Spanish companies at a state and international level.
Serafín de la Concha (Head of the Community Programme Division of CDTI) expressed, during his presentation this morning, how important it is for a Spanish technology centre to be the leader of some of the large projects that will be approved over the coming years within the framework of the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission, as, in his opinion, that generates knowledge and development. In this sense, he congratulated CENER for the work that, as a national research centre, it has been carrying out as a technology partner and member of some European energy platforms.
