CENER will form part of the Advisory Committee of IRENA

Fernando Sánchez Sudón, Technical Director of CENER, has been chosen to form part of the Strategic Advisory Committee of IRENA, the International Renewable Energy Agency, with headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

IRENA has existed now for one and a half years and is currently comprised of 145 countries from all over the world. The main objectives of the Agency are to give advice and support both industrialised and developing countries for them to implement from the legislative viewpoint and for them to develop skills related to the renewable energies sector. The strategic plan of IRENA will be prepared by the Secretariat of the Agency with the coordination of the Strategic Advisory Committee, whose members have been individually selected, bearing in mind their knowledge and experience in the sector, a fact that can be verified by the letter that Helene Pelose (Director of IRENA) addressed to Fernando Sanchez at the end of May.
