CENER participates in a renewable energy seminar in Chile as an international expert

“Thermoelectric Energy: parabolic cylinder collector technology.” This is the title of the two-day course that Marcelino Sanchez, Head of the Modelling, Simulation and Design Service of the Solar Thermal Energy Department of the National Renewable Energy Centre, CENER, is going to deliver in Santiago de Chile. The course has been organised in collaboration with the University of Chile and the Renewable Energy Centre of Chile (CER).

The existing experiences with parabolic cylinder collector technology, both on a commercial level and in the thermosolar plant demonstration phase, will be analysed and reviewed during the course.

On the other hand, Marcelino Sanchez, as an international specialist, will offer a conference at the end of the week in the “Seminar on Non-Conventional Renewable Energy in mining areas”, which has been organised by the Foundation for Technology (UNTEC), Minera Escondida Ltda., Sociedad Contractual Minera El Abra, Compañía Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi and Innova Chile de CORFO, whose main objective is to disseminate the most important technology advances in the non-conventional renewable energy area, on a national and international level, and at the same time to promote the participation of new players in this strategic sector in Chile. The Minister of Energy, Ricardo Ranieri, will participate in the inaugural part of the Seminar.
