Members of the Industry Commission of the Congress visit Cener

This morning, a delegation of representatives from the Industry, Tourism and Trade Commission of the Congress of Deputies has visited the technological facilities of the National Renewable Energy Centre-CENER, located in Sangüesa and in Sarriguren (Navarra). They were received by the Director General of CENER, José Javier Armendáriz, the Technical Director, Fernando Sánchez and by the Business and Strategy Development Director, Jerónimo Camacho. They were joined, at the end of the morning by the Regional Minister of Innovation, Enterprise and Employment of the Government of Navarra and President of CENER, José Mª Roig.

These deputies are also members of the Subcommission for analysing the energy strategy for the coming 25 years. The main objective of the visit was to discover the advances made by CENER in the projects that it is developing both in Spain and in other countries and get information about the needs of the renewable sector in order to continue developing in the same way as it has to date.

Following a visit to the Wind Turbine Test Laboratory, the deputies continued their day at CENER headquarters, located in Sarriguren, where they were able to visit the biofuel laboratory, as well as the photovoltaic cell processes and materials laboratory and the thermal panel and photovoltaic module test laboratory.

During the day’s visit to Navarra, the Congress delegation was comprised of: Mª José Fernández (GS), Antonio Cuevas (GS-President of the Industry Commission), Antonio Erías (GP), Guillermo Mariscal (GP), Jesús Alique (GS) and Carlos Salvador (UPN).
