Félix Avia (CENER) wind sector awardwinner

Yesterday, Félix Avia, technician of the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) received the special distinction granted each year by the Wind Energy Business Association (AEE) “for his long professional career in the wind sector, first as a pioneer technologist and later for his work in different organisations, always related to wind energy, and for his recently acknowledged international outreach when he took on the presidency of the European Wind Energy Academy" as explained by the AEE in a press release.

Félix Avia is responsible for the offshore wind energy research line at CENER and he also currently coordinates the wind section of the International Energy Agency – IEA.

This is the third occasion that the AEE grants this award, which was received last year by Antonio Martinez (Director of IREC) and in 2008 by the IDAE (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving).
