The president of La Rioja and five of its regional ministers visit CENER

The President of the Government of La Rioja, Pedro Sanz, accompanied by five of the regional ministers, have visited the headquarters of the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) this morning with a view to getting to know the activities and projects as well as to study the possibilities of collaborating with this national centre, which is already a benchmark in the renewables sector.

They were accompanied during the visit to CENER by representatives from the Executive of Navarra: First Vice-President and Presidential Adviser, Minister of Interior and Justice, Javier Caballero, and the Minister of Institutional Affairs and Spokesperson for the Government, Alberto Catalan; the Minister of Innovation, Enterprise and Employment, José Mª Roig (Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the CENER-CIEMAT Foundation), the Minister of Health, María Kutz and the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, Laura Alba.

After holding a meeting, during which the General Manager of CENER, José Javier Armendáriz explained the most outstanding projects to them, both regional delegations visited the biofuel production laboratories and the photovoltaic module and solar panel test laboratories.

Apart from President Sanz, the members of the Government of La Rioja, who have visited Sarriguren are: the Presidential Adviser, Emilio del Rio, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, Iñigo Nagore, the Minister of Health, Jose Ignacio Nieto, the Minister of Housing and Public Works, Antonino Burgos and the Minister of Industry and Innovation, Javier Erro.
