Underwriters Laboratories (UL) sign an agreement of collaboration with CENER

On the occasion of the world's largest trade show in the photovoltaics industry, Intersolar in Munich, Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a world leader in safety testing and certification services, has intensified its talks with the National Renewable Energy Centre of Spain, CENER (Centro Nacional de Energias Renovables), to cooperate in the field of testing and certification of photovoltaic modules. With the planned collaboration UL and CENER continue to expand their  global footprint in renewable energy sector to meet growing demand. It allows both parties to offer  PV manufacturers to test and certify their products according to national and international standards as well as to UL standards by only one testing facility, and thus giving them easier, more cost effective and faster access to the international photovoltaic markets and in particular to the North-American market due to CENER’s local presence and a highly skilled engineering team.

About CENER

The National Renewable Energy Centre of Spain (CENER) is an international best-known and well-established technology centre specialized in applied research, and the development and promotion of renewable energies. The foundation began its activity in 2002 and the Board of Trustees comprises the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Ciemat (Research Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology), and the Government of Navarra.
