A delegation of business and political representatives from Oman have visited the headquarters of the National Renewable Energies Centre (CENER) in Sarriguren this afternoon.
The visit has been organised by the Casa Arabe (Arab House), Madrid, in collaboration with ICEX (Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce), the Government of Navarra and the Chamber of Commerce and Trade of Navarra, in order to analyse the investment and development opportunities offered by Oman for Spanish enterprises.
The following members of the Omani delegation have visited CENER this afternoon: Saleh Al-Rumhi, Privatisations Production manager of the Public Authority on Energy and Water (PAEW); Ali Salem Al-Harthy, dean of the Engineering School, Sultan Qaboos University; and Adel Gastli, coordinator of the Renewable and Sustainable Energies Research Group (RASERG); Jamil bin Ali Sultan Al-Lawatti, deputy president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman; and Salem bin Mohamed Al-Shanfari, member of the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman and responsible for the civil engineering group; Ana María de Lara, representative in Spain of the Omani Centre for Investment Promotion and Export Development (OCIPED) and Iqbal Sultan, responsible for Business Development of W.J. Towell.
During their visit to CENER, where they were welcomed by the Managing Director, Jose Javier Armendariz, the possibilities of collaboration and promotion of renewable energies in Oman have been contemplated.
