CENER will show off their blade design and testing capabilities at EWEA

Between Monday and Wednesday, March 10 -13, Barcelona will be host to the annual European Wind Energy Association congress, EWEA 2014. This is the most important event held in Europe on wind energy and provides a perfect platform to show off the latest technological advances, products and services. While this congress is going on, CENER (National Renewable Energy Centre) will be participating with its own stand at the multitudinous international fair.

CENER’s main new developments on display at their stand are related to the design and testing of large wind turbine blades. These blades are designed to meet the demands of today’s terrestrial and marine markets anywhere in the world. One of them will consist of a practical demonstration of ground resonant actuators used in the fatigue testing of blades with low resonance frequencies. Also, during the exhibit, the CENER stand will host several explanatory workshops open to the public on the functionality offered by the free software tool (BASSF), developed and validated by CENER for the design of laminates and structural calculations of advanced blades.
