- The presentation of two posters, a stand and participation as speakers in the Congress were the actions carried out.
Sarriguren (Navarre-Spain), October 4, 2022.- A group made up of 4 researchers from CENER (National Renewable Energy Centre of Spain) participated last week in the 8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion, WCPEC-8. In addition to presenting two technical posters, being part of the Scientific Committee, making a presentation at the congress and moderating a session, CENER has also been present as part of a stand organized by the European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC), shared with other international entities.
The presentations of the two posters were made by Alicia Buceta, on “Lightweight PV Modules Compatible with One Step Lamination Process”, and Cristina Leyre Pinto, for her part, presented another poster on the “Study of Abrasion Resistance of Structured PV Glass”.
In the case of another researcher, Ana Gracia Amillo, in addition to being part of the Scientific Committee, acted as moderator in one of the sessions of the congress and was also a speaker in the session ” “PV productivity challenges and solutions in desert environments”, in which she also representatives of Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QUEERI) and of the USA National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), intervened.
Furthermore, taking advantage of the event held in Milan, the First Strategic Workshop of the European project VIPERLAB (Horizon 2020), Fully Connected Physical and Virtual Perovskite Laboratories, was held to analyse the milestones defined in the Strategic Development and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) published by the European Photovoltaic Technology and Innovation Platform (ETIP-PV) for perovskite-based photovoltaic technology. Alicia Buceta and Eugenia Zugasti participated in this meeting on behalf of CENER as a project partner.
Likewise, parallel to the congress, a meeting of the Steering Committee of the European Energy Research Alliance for Photovoltaics, EERA-PV, was held to plan the next activities of the Alliance and in which Eugenia Zugasti participated as a representative of CENER.
The four researchers are part of the Solar Energy Technologies and Storage team at CENER.
