CENER Drives Smart Energy Renovation within the European oPEN Lab Project
On March 3rd, the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) will coordinate the online “Meet the Buyer” event, a key session designed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technological solutions and the main stakeholders in the construction and renovation sector.
As part of the global shift towards sustainable urban environments, the oPEN Lab project is focused on developing Positive Energy Neighbourhoods (PENs). Pamplona stands as one of the three European “Living Labs” —alongside Genk (Belgium) and Tartu (Estonia)— testing innovative infrastructures to create neighborhoods that produce more energy than they consume.
CENER has organized this technical workshop to ensure that end-users, architectural firms, developers, and public administrations can gain direct insight into these advancements. The event is specifically designed to bring innovation closer to the market by showcasing technologies already tested in real-world environments.
Connecting Innovation with Market Demand Throughout the session, participants will explore specific solutions for comprehensive energy renovation, presented directly by their creators:
· Advanced Thermal Insulation: Innovative solutions by Kingspan Insulation.
· Smart Monitoring: The use of IoT sensors for acoustic control (Keacoustics) and fiber optic temperature measurement (MENDITECH).
· Air Quality: Smart indoor monitoring technologies developed by inBiot.
· Energy Management: CENER will present its proprietary intelligent energy control system, a cornerstone for the efficiency of modern neighborhoods.
