CECOM4PV: PhotoVoltaic Devices based on Ceramic Materials and Composites - CENER

GENERAL OBJECTIVE: The main objective is to develop, from standard ceramic-based products used in building envelopes, new products for use in energy-efficient building envelopes, such as roofing elements, tiles, which integrate the generation of electrical energy from photovoltaic elements on the way to achieving near-zero energy buildings.

CENER´S ROLE: CENER participates in 6 of the 9 work packages of the project and will lead the 2 technological development packages related to photovoltaic cell technology. In the analysis and definition of requirements led by ISFOC, CENER will assess the real feasibility of integrating the different photovoltaic technologies with the ceramic substrates included in the project. As experts in photovoltaic technology, it will lead the PT03 work package where the specifications of the substrates, final product as well as the optimum materials and processes to achieve the objectives set will be defined.
