The CENER Wind Energy area has highly qualified personnel as well as specialised software in the following areas:

  • Wind Turbine Test Laboratory (LEA)
  • Experimental Wind Farm
  • Aerodynamics and aeroelasticity
  • Structural mechanics
  • Dynamic systems and control
  • Manufacturing processes and materials
  • Meteorology
  • Mathematics
  • Electronics
  • Electricity
  • Communications
  • Instrumentation and Measurement
  • Programming and computing

  • Data Processing Centre.   ORTZ, is the name of the Beowulf kind of computer cluster in CENER. It’s composed by 520 x86-64 architecture cores and 1253 GB of RAM memory. Using a GigaByte local network, the computers have Ethernet Bonding configuration. This configuration, combines several network interfaces (NICs) to a single link, providing maximum throughput among computers to run parallel jobs.HTCondor (v8.6.8) distributed computing software, handles and manages the workload of the computing-intensive jobs to run on ORTZ, providing a High Throughput and High Availability computing environment.
