COSMOS: New smart solar collector concept for the decarbonization of industrial processes.

The main objective of this project is the development of an innovative smart, low O&M cost, parabolic trough solar collector (PTC) for industrial process heat applications in the medium temperature range (100-200ºC) that contributes to the decarbonization of the industrial sector.

• CENER will lead the review and update of the functional specifications of the collector to transfer knowledge, the selection of available techniques and resources, as well as the definition of the specifications to achieve efficiently the technical objectives.

• CENER will participate together with EPER and Cleverpy in the optical, thermal and structural research of the collector elements and the development of artificial intelligence and ICT. Finally, it will study together with EPER the collector´s behaviour in a real environment and will help to evaluate the impact of the final results.
