Simulation and monitoring of biomass ash behavior

  • 2018-2021

To develop and validate tools that allow the design and operation control of industrial scale biomass combustion boilers. For that:

  • Develop a predictive modeling tool to evaluate the behavior of generated ashes.
  • Develop a tool to control the fluidized bed conditions in the plant.

The validation the tools is carried out in industrial scale plants.

To lead the development, validation and integration of:

  • Thermochemical Model for the simulation and prediction of the behavior of inorganic elements in biomass combustion boilers.
  • Tool to control the fluidized bed state by simultaneous thermal analysis (STA) for the early detection of sintering problems.
