It has the following competitive action advantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"txtjustify\">Versatility to reproduce the different processes: doping, chemical attack, anti-reflectant layer, metallisation, standard transfer, etc.<\/li>\n<li class=\"txtjustify\">Possibility of determining critical parameters and optimal conditions for each one of the individual processes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"txtjustify\">Capacity to research new silicon materials for photovoltaic application.<\/li>\n<li class=\"txtjustify\">Methodology to study the mechanical property of thin silicon wafers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The equipment of this laboratory permits working on mono- and multi-crystalline wafers of up to 15 cm x 15 cm in size. The characterisation techniques can be applied to these sizes, so it is not necessary to destroy the sample to analyse it. The sizes used for thin film techniques are 15 cm x 15 cm, and also 20 cm x 30 cm in some processes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11943\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8425-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1348\" height=\"899\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8425-1.jpg 1348w, https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8425-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8425-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8425-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1348px) 100vw, 1348px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One result of the knowledge that is being developed in LPPC is the possibility to offer the following services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analysis of manufacturing processes\n<ul>\n<li>Process reproduction in Laboratory<\/li>\n<li>Process cost and quality improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Technical advice on the implementation of production lines: cost analyses and alternatives.<\/li>\n<li>Generation of low-cost absorbent material for photovoltaic cells.<\/li>\n<li>Development of new cell manufacturing technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"txtjustify\">The laboratory has the following equipment, among others:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diffusion, LPCVD<\/li>\n<li>RTP (Rapid Thermal Processing)<\/li>\n<li>Bench for chemical attacks<\/li>\n<li>RIE<\/li>\n<li>PECVD<\/li>\n<li>PVD (metals and OCT)<\/li>\n<li>Xerigraphy<\/li>\n<li>Photolithography and inspection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11944\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8258.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1348\" height=\"899\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8258.jpg 1348w, https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8258-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8258-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cener.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/MG_8258-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1348px) 100vw, 1348px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the relative critical process parameter control techniques (thickness, film resistance, refraction coefficient, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>To support the wafer-based photovoltaic cell production processes, the laboratory also has in-house designed equipment to assess the mechanical characteristics of the wafers depending on their process conditions and thickness.<\/p>\n<p>In all the cases, the experimental results are verified and in some cases, they are planned based on software applications to simulate mechanical conditions or devices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The objectives of this laboratory include: Electrical, optical and structural assessment of materials.
