CENER TAKES PART IN THE LARGEST WIND FAIR IN THE WORLD
Promoting the skills to develop projects and services in agreement with the latest technological advances of the sector will be one of the main objectives pursued by the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER), with its stand at the Windpower Fair. This Fair is organised by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and it will be held from the 22nd to the 25th of May in Anaheim (California). It is considered to be one of the most important fairs of this sector in the world, bearing in mind that more than 1300 exhibitors have participated in previous years.
This is the second time that CENER has participated in this Fair, which took place in Dallas (Texas) last year.
The main points of interest at the stand of the national research centre will be the services related to wind resource assessment and prediction (mainly wind maps), as well as wind turbine and wind component design and analysis services. And as CENER stands out for its exceptional technological infrastructures, the main element of the Windpower stand will continue to be everything related to the Wind Turbine Test Laboratory, where new tests have been carried out for several months.
CENER has a good relationship with the American energy institutions. It recently renewed its agreement with NREL, the national renewable research laboratory of the United States, and this year it has signed a collaboration agreement with Grand Valley State University (Michigan), as the first of a series of agreements that reflect the excellent relationship between CENER and the institutions and enterprises of the state of Michigan. Furthermore, several representatives from states such as Oklahoma or Texas have expressed their interest in establishing a contact with CENER at the fair to analyse possible collaboration channels.
