AZIMUT (Offshore Wind Energy 2020) is a CENIT project of the CDTI, which focuses on the development of floating demonstration wind turbines for offshore sites in deep water.
CENER-ADA participation:
- Calculation of aerodynamic forces via numerical codes, with wind tunnel tests and through field measurements in order to design large offshore wind turbines, with rated powers of above 10 MW.
- Development of a technology map to design large offshore wind turbines, with rated powers of above 10 MW.
- Development of new channel test methodologies for floating offshore wind energy and wind simulation code integration with codes from the naval-oil & gas sector.
