The main purpose of ECLIPSE project is development of a photovoltaic system for integration in greenhouses, which meets the following conditions, aimed at substantially improving energy efficiency in glass greenhouses:
- Reduce greenhouse overheating during the summer, allowing a significant reduction in cooling.
- During the winter to keep radiation levels inside the greenhouse above that requires the proper development of crops.
- Increase electricity production of PV modules installed.
CENER participation in the project is focused on the study of the designed prototype in order to propose possible improvements to the initial design ECLIPSE and also testing the prototype to obtain qualification and certification according to international standards in order to market the product with sufficient guarantees of quality.
