The objective of the S-Light project is the development of multifunctional photovoltaic solutions for building applications based on an alternative cell encapsulation technology to those used mostly in the photovoltaic industry and based on the use of lightweight composite materials.
The participation of CENER in the project focuses on the execution of the aptitude tests to which the obtained photovoltaic products will be subjected. These will be tested in the Modules Laboratory in accordance with current international regulations. In addition to acting as leader of the validation tasks, CENER will make contributions in the design, monitoring and dissemination phases of the results achieved.
The project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium, led by APLICACIONES TECNICAS DE LA ENERGIA, S.L. in which both companies and research centers with experience in the photovoltaic sector participate. It is integrated by TEULADES I FAÇANES MULTIFUNCIONALS, S.A. and the technology center TECNALIA RESEARCH AND INNOVATION Foundation, in addition to CENER.
The project has been financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. Its bankable budget amounts to € 1,292,591.66.
