HolisticFlux is a comprehensive system for real-time measurement of incident solar flux in tower receivers. It combines point sensors, CCD and infrared cameras, optical fibers, and calorimeters with thermodynamic and optical models that allow calibrated flow distribution maps to be generated. These data fusion algorithms offer a global view of the receiver’s behavior, identifying irregularities and allowing immediate adjustments in the pointing of the heliostats.

The solution offers a clear advantage over conventional methods, providing continuous flow maps with uncertainties of less than 10%. This allows you to maximize conversion efficiency, prevent damage from overheating, and reduce operational risks, resulting in increased reliability and cost savings for solar tower plant operators.

HolisticFlux can be exploited as a standalone team with integration services or under a licensing model for engineering companies and operators.

It is currently in the advanced conceptual phase (TRL 3-4), with prototypes in development and validation plans in experimental campaigns in the short term. Intellectual property is protected through proprietary methodologies and know-how.
