Value Proposition
The HTF Sampler is a portable system designed for the representative intake of heat transfer fluids in solar thermal plants. Its procedure includes inerting, sampling under recirculating conditions, controlled cooling to less than 60 °C, phase separation and final drainage, ensuring stable and traceable samples. Analyses include the determination of purity, aromatic impurities and dissolved hydrogen content by chromatography and gas-specific techniques.
Added Value
This capability is critical for solar thermal plant operators, as it allows for early detection of fluid degradation processes, optimising maintenance and preventing performance losses.
Market Applications
The market includes commercial plant operators and instrumentation suppliers, with a business model based on licenses and complementary analytical services that provide comprehensive support.
TRL
The system is at a high level of technological maturity (TRL 8-9). It has been validated in operating plants, where it has proven its effectiveness in preventing failures and ensuring the reliability of thermal circuits. Intellectual property is protected through proprietary method and licensing agreements for the equipment. We are currently collaborating with suppliers specialized in industrial instrumentation for adaptations to different solar thermal plants.
